Explore Nature’s Bounty with Naturalist Kevin Feinstein

January 08, 2018

When we ask our guests what they love most about the Lafayette Park Hotel, they offer a wide range of answers, but one that we’re particularly proud of is the opportunity our location affords for reconnecting with nature. If you too take an interest in all things green, we encourage you to join Kevin Feinstein, author, teacher, naturalist, and founder of the Foraging Society, on the morning of Saturday, February 3, as he hosts a tour of the surrounding landscape for interested community members and visitors to Lafayette. Kevin will show you how to spot dozens of edible plants as you make your way through the countryside, learning the names and nutritional properties of each specimen. Not only that, you’ll be snipping, collecting, and sampling, so be sure to pack your clippers and a sturdy sack or two. This free event begins at 10 A.M. on February 3 at the Lafayette Community Park Meet Spot and lasts approximately two hours.

Address: Lafayette Community Park Meet Spot, 480 St. Mary’s Road, Lafayette, CA 94549
